The European Commission developed the European Digital Credentials for Learning within the framework of the Europass portal and officially launched them in October 2021. The Digital Credentials infrastructure makes the paperless issuing of certificates possible. The digital certificates issued are forgery-proof, data protection-compliant and easy to check. The tool can be found on the Europass portal.
